The purpose of making this plugin was a different than the reason you
are using it. I just wanted a nice way of executing external programs
without leaving vim. When you do :!<cmd> in vim it executes the <cmd> in
a shell. This is not the case for gvim. It is good to know that there
is another reason of using it. With a recent vim version
:echo has("patch686")
you will also can use the expression register.

If you find it useful, you can rate it since it got some bed karma votes
at the beginning somehow.
