Yes it is. There is not a help tag for that particular entry, but
if you execute

:help errorformat

and search for

/^Pattern matching

you will find the explanation. You may have to play a bit to get
the hang of it. There are some examples of regular expressions
within errorformat patterns under

:help errorformat-LaTeX

Remember that when given an 'errorformat' containing a number of
patterns, Vim will act on the first one that matches, so you need to
put more specific patterns ahead of more general patterns.
