I also discovered that the same problem happens when editing a latex
file, i.e. when typing () and then typing = inside the parentheses, the
cursor gets after the closing parenthesis.
How can I disable this? I tried to put 'iunmap =' on
vimfiles\after\plugin\tex.vim but it is of no use.
