Python: problem importing dbus (undefined symbol: PyExc_UserWarning)

Hi.

I'm trying to import dbus inside vim but I get a error:
----------
:python import dbus
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<string>", line 4, in <module>
File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/dbus/__init__.py", line 79, in <module>
import dbus.types as types
File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/dbus/types.py", line 6, in <module>
from _dbus_bindings import ObjectPath, ByteArray, Signature, Byte,\
ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/_dbus_bindings.so:
undefined symbol: PyExc_UserWarning
----------

But I don't get this error if I try to import direct from python
(command line, i.e. without vim):
----------
$ python2 -c 'import dbus; print dbus.version'
(0, 84, 0)
----------

I'm using vim 7.3.338, python 2.7.2 and dbus-python 0.84.0. vim
:version at end of email.

Anyone know what is wrong?

Thanks.
