Re: gVim open files faster than Vim

I also had this problem a while ago, but for me it only happened with
CSS files. Turned out this was caused by a plugin I had installed. I
believe it was css_color
(http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=2150). In gVim it
worked instantly, but when I opened a CSS file in vim, it took a few
seconds to show the file. I use the colorizer plugins now
(http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=3567) and I don't have
this problem anymore. Maybe you are using a plugin with similar problems?
