Sorry, I should've pointed out the standard way to do this:  copy the distributed files to your $HOME/.vim (or $HOME/vimfiles) equivalent and modify them there.

I just wana tell you that it is not necessary to modify vimfiles like help.vim beacause it works with the original one.
