My guess is that you installed your plugins someplace that Vim 7.3
doesn't look, such as under /usr/share/vim/vim72. If you did, that
was a mistake. You should never install anything in $VIMRUNTIME.
You should install your plugins under either /usr/share/vim/vimfiles
or ~/.vim.

Where did you install your plugins and what does the ":scriptnames"
command show?
