You didn't tell us what os you use. For Linux, x window support
multiple keyboard layout. eg to setup us and russian layout
XKBLAYOUT="us,ru"
so that it is possible to switch between us and ru using some hotkeys.
You may configure you keyboard to italian and altgr-intl so that most
latin base accents characters can be directly input. Or if you can
stand using intl keyboard layout as default instead of italian, then
just change the layout to intl.
