Sorry, I'm sure what you want. (Why map a backtick if you haven't got
one?)

Do you want to map something to get a backtick? There's a digraph for
it, '!, so ctrl-k '! will get you one in insert and command modes, but
you'd only need that once setting up the mapping in your .vimrc, and
you could easily copy it from here:

imap <f4> `
