I'm afraid that that is somewhat arbitrary -- you can see from netrw's
history some dates associated with previous releases. When I release
v137, Bram will put it on the ftp site and the mercurial repository;
however, it'll never appear in the 7.2 release. That will eventually
occur when 7.3 is released. I generally collect bugs&fixes and when a
quiet period ensues when I have all outstanding issues addressed, I
generally then release it to Bram.
