Thank you, Tony, for your reply!
In these days there is a discussion about fonts on this list
("Please, suggest a font!"). This might help.
Now, there is a suggestion in the vim-manual how to install fonts,
which isn't clear enough to me. Invoking ':help arabic.txt' you
can read:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
o Installation of fonts for X Window systems (Unix/Linux)
Depending on your system, copy your_ARABIC_FONT file into a
directory of your choice. Change to the directory containing
the Arabic fonts and execute the following commands:
% mkfontdir
% xset +fp path_name_of_arabic_fonts_directory
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There are 3 different directory names. Do they all point to the same
directory?
What is a Form-B font? Can anyone name an apropriate 'your_ARABIC_FONT file'?
Could this vim-help-passage made a bit clearer?
Best regards,
Rudolf
