How to compile with clipboard support ?

Hi,

I'm trying to compile Vim on a Ubuntu 12.04 server in order to get the
clipboard working.

So I've installed xorg, openbox and all the libraries needed to compile,
then I've edited the vim74/src/Makefile file and add the following line:

CONF_OPT_GUI = --with-x --disable-gui

in order to have the xterm clipboard support but without GUI capabilities.

Compilation and installation went well but when I check the compilation options (:version), clipboard and xterm_clipboard remains deseperatly disabled (prefixed with the - sign).

What should I do to enabled clipboard support ?

Thanks
