It's confusing how you ARE a subscriber (you joined vim_use at
10:52am today, presumably UTC time). Are you saying that you
tried to subscribe, but got the error report? At any rate, you
should be receiving vim_use mail now.

For historical reasons, the group "vim@vim.org" is actually
"vim_use@googlegroups.com". The recommended procedure to
subscribe is what you did, but subscribing to the Google Group
works as well.
